Locally roasted espresso, specialty lattes, ceremonial Japanese matcha, and handcrafted drinks, poured one cup at a time from a solo-run craft coffee trailer on the Cape Fear coast.
Small Menu, Big Standards
I'm Zack, and I run every part of Common Tides myself, from dialing in the grinder before the first pour to handing your drink out the window. This is the coffee menu Wilmington NC knows from farmers markets, farms, and pop-ups across the coast. It's short on purpose. Every drink on it earns its place, and every shot gets pulled with the same care as the last.
The trailer moves, so check the calendar to see where I'm parked this week, or read the story behind Common Tides.
The Foundation
Every drink here starts with a double shot of locally roasted North Carolina beans, weighed, timed, and tasted through the day.
A double shot, pulled tight and precise. The purest read on what the roast can do.
Espresso lengthened with water so the roast can speak for itself. Clean, bright, and honest.
Double espresso and silky steamed milk in balance. The pour I judge myself on.
Espresso, steamed milk, and a deep cap of foam. Small, strong, and classic.
Rich chocolate folded under espresso and steamed milk. Dessert that still respects the coffee.
The House Pours
Real ingredients over the same dialed-in double shot. No pumps of mystery syrup, no shortcuts. Each one is 16 oz, hot or iced.
Premium Monin caramel cut with pink Himalayan sea salt. Rich, balanced, and the drink Wilmington keeps coming back for.
Real Grade A maple syrup, nothing imitation. Cozy and clean, never too sweet.
Classic and smooth. Proof that simple, done right, is its own kind of showing off.
There is always a rotating pour on the board. Check the truck for the current latte special, or ask me at the window.
Stone-Ground & Whisked
Ceremonial grade matcha sourced directly from a family farm in Shizuoka, Japan, whisked to order at the window.
Ceremonial Grade Matcha · Milk of Your Choice
Vivid green, naturally sweet, and zero bitterness. Ceremonial grade matcha whisked with vanilla and your milk of choice, served steaming or over ice.
There is always a seasonal matcha being whisked. Check the truck for the current matcha special, or ask me at the window.
For Everyone Else in Line
Handcrafted drinks for the tea drinkers, the kids, and anyone skipping caffeine today. Same care, no espresso required.
Turmeric and warming spices steamed into a golden, caffeine-free cup. The feel-good favorite of the menu.
Rich cocoa under steamed milk, made the slow way. Oat or almond milk available for $1.00 more.
Earl Grey steeped strong, softened with vanilla and steamed milk. Alt milk available for $1.00 more.
Earl Grey, Irish Breakfast, or English Breakfast, brewed by the cup.
Caramel, vanilla, maple, or the current special flavor stirred into cold whole milk over ice, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. One young regular called it the best thing he'd ever had.
Cold and simple, for the dog days at the market.

Behind the Menu
The beans are roasted here in North Carolina by a roaster I trust and visit, not shipped in from a warehouse. The matcha comes straight from a family farm in Shizuoka, Japan. The caramel is made with real pink Himalayan sea salt, the maple is Grade A, and the cups are compostable because the trailer works a lot of days by the water.
"If I wouldn't drink it myself at 6 a.m. before a market, it doesn't go on the menu."
